Position overview:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for accounting, reporting and controls, capex, taxes and audit.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, revenue recognition, lease accounting, fixed asset accounting and taxes. Ensure the balance confirmation from all AP/AR
• Ensuring no delays in accounting and compliance is ensured
• Preparing detailed Account Reconciliation quarterly and review with Regional Accounting Manager and ensure outstanding points are resolved within agreed timelines
• Ensure Balance Sheet related movement – quarterly reporting, BS Flux, etc.
• Monitoring and reporting of changes in Working Capital, Cash and Controls
• Mitigate financial risk throw create easy-to-follow processes for customer receivable overdue and ensure to send to report to commercial team with loss of cost of capital and FX loss
• Operating as an ambassador for EVA in respective locations and supporting local stakeholders to understand the guiding principles of EVA to Ball and why certain business decisions are taken
• Compliance of direct/indirect tax regulatory requirements and tax planning
• Supporting the annual audit and facilitate a smooth audit process

What are we looking for?

• Chartered Accountant / Bachelor Accounting
• Extended experience in similar roles and at least 2 years of heading the department independently within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes Oxley ) and experience of working under a SOX environment
• Knowledge of changes/developments in taxation laws, accounting standards of the ICAI, corporate laws, labor laws, SEBI regulations and other legislation pertaining to business processes
• Knowledge of Myanmar GAAP, IFRS, Accounting Standards, Indirect Tax (Sales Tax, Customs, Excise, Service Tax) and Direct Tax
• Auditing, Taxation and MIS in a Manufacturing Industry, experience in a  ERP environment
• Fluent in English and Myanmar
