General Profile:

As a Warehouse Team Lead, you are pivotal in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient material handling, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. Leading a team of material handlers and forklift operators, you coordinate logistics activities, manage documentation, and facilitate training to maintain high performance standards. Your role bridges the gap between warehouse staff and management, fostering effective communication and operational excellence.

  • Operational Planning: Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and delegating tasks to optimize workflow and meet operational targets
  • Communication: Effective in conveying information clearly and concisely to team members and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in operating and overseeing the use of material handling equipment (MHE), including forklifts, and ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Quality Assurance: Capable of identifying product defects and implementing standard inspection procedures to maintain quality standards
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in monitoring operations to ensure accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment
  • Safety Compliance: Committed to enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA and company-specific regulations
  • Time Management: Adept at managing time effectively to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities

Skills:

  • Advanced Leadership, experience in leading teams, providing direction, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), proficient in utilizing WMS, TMS, YMS, and ERP systems for inventory tracking, order processing, and logistics coordination
  • Computer Literacy, competent in using basic computer applications for reporting, communication, and data analysis
  • RF Scanner Operation, skilled in using radio frequency scanners for accurate inventory and order processing
  • Material Handling Equipment Knowledge, understanding of various MHE types and their capabilities, ensuring proper usage and maintenance
  • Supplier Communication, ability to negotiate and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to promote efficient operations

Accountabilities:

  • Safety Enforcement, ensure all team members adhere to safety policies, procedures, and regulations, conducting regular assessments and managing warehouse equipment safety
  • Operational Efficiency, oversee daily activities of warehouse personnel, ensuring goals for order fulfillment, receiving, put-away, and shipping are met or exceeded
  • Inventory Management, monitor inventory levels, ensuring accurate receiving, storing, picking, and shipping processes to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Shift Coordination, provide comprehensive handovers to incoming shift leaders, communicating key information and ongoing issues to ensure continuity
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration, facilitate effective communication and collaboration with departments such as production, quality control, transportation, and customer service
  • Performance Reporting, deliver regular updates and reports on shift performance, issues, and achievements to warehouse management

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2+ Years in warehouse operations, with demonstrated leadership experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Forklift Operation certifications and familiarity with safety regulations are plus
  • Computers skills

 

 Compensation & Benefits

  • Hiring Salary Range: $32.40 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
