Position overview:

To plan, direct and manage the manufacturing process, providing the focus and leadership to build and develop an effective team, which will maintain maximum safety, environmental, quality and production standards. This position has responsibility for Six Sigma within the plant.

He/she is networking with European manufacturing sites, utilizing information for 'best practice' activity.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Responsible for the Health and Safety of our employees.

•    Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to shift managers, coordinators, and other staff.

•    Build a high engagement with our employees.

•    Responsible for a smooth production flow and continually review plant, methods, and efficiency, ensuring modifications to equipment/methods are in accordance with company standards, including safety and environmental standards.

•    Ensure that training & development are put into effect and continuously reviewed, revised, and maintained.

•    Co-ordinate the activities of the various plant functions to ensure the most effective utilization of resources, plant, materials, and people.

•    Install and maintain continuous improvement programmes/processes, including environmental, health, and safety.

•    To ensure that all production is consistent with established requirements in respect of structure and cleanliness.

•    Development, implement, and maintain a suitable consultative and communication process for all employees.

What are we looking for:

•    Degree in Technical or Business Studies Discipline

•    Successful track record in management in combination with a proven record of task achievement

•    5+ years from a production environment (100+ employees) as a manager

•    Experience in handling industrial relations issues

•    Good understanding of modern lean manufacturing techniques - SMED, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Structured Problem Solving, TPM/OEE, SPC, Six Sigma

•    Fluent in English and German
