Primary purpose of the position:
The role of the Sr. Shared Services Analyst, Benefits & Payroll is to manage specific tasks within the payroll function. The role serves as a subject matter expert and is accountable to resolve complex problems, collaborate across the organization, leverage technical expertise and provide exceptional internal/external customer satisfaction. The Sr. Shared Services Analyst should have an understanding of the end-to-end process, payroll benefits management (401(k), RRSP, HSA, etc.) and provide knowledge in process improvement activities or transformation efforts.
Essential Responsible Areas:
- Ensure Accuracy and Thoroughness: Lead efforts to achieve meticulous accuracy in tasks by identifying inconsistencies and producing precise work. Mentor junior team members on best practices.
- Strategic Collaboration: Facilitate high-level collaboration with team members and cross-functional departments to ensure seamless transitions and effective teamwork throughout processes.
- Resolve Complex Issues: Oversee the research and resolution of complex issues, including data collection, analysis, and root cause identification. Escalate and communicate critical issues to senior management.
- Primary Point of Contact: Act as the senior contact for daily tasks, providing expert-level answers, resolving high-priority issues, and delivering comprehensive analysis.
- Deliver High-Quality Outcomes: Lead initiatives to foster positive interactions with team members and internal/external customers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.
- Promote Teamwork and Accountability: Champion teamwork and personal accountability through strong leadership, collaboration, and effective communication.
- Drive Process Improvements: Lead the identification of inefficiencies within processes and advocate for enhanced efficiency, performance, and quality. Spearhead process improvement initiatives and projects.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate advanced flexibility in adapting to new challenges, technologies, and environments. Guide the team through changes and transitions.
- Professional Development: Commit to continuous professional growth, staying updated with industry trends and advancements. Mentor and support the professional development of junior team members.
Professional & Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; equivalent work experience in functional area may be substituted
- 3 years minimum of relevant experience in benefit/payroll processing.
- Preferred SAP and/or ADP experience. ADP GlobalView a plus.
- Experience with 401(k)/RRSP reporting, reconciliations and funding.
Knowledge:
- Oversee and optimize the execution of established benefits and payroll processes within the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring adherence to standardized procedures and guidelines.
- Act as an advisor for complex benefits and payroll tasks, providing expert analysis, resolving high-level issues, and guiding the team on best practices.
- Mentor the more junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement through effective communication.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies within benefits and payroll processes and advocating for enhanced efficiency, performance, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with new regulatory benefits including Secure Act 2.0, payroll and tax changes for the responsible countries, staying informed and proactive in implementing necessary updates.
- Maintain and advocate for organizational standards, ensuring accurate payroll records and documentation, and adherence to SOPs to comply with SOX and/or regulatory requirements (where applicable).
- Take on additional payroll-related assignments or projects, demonstrating flexibility, leadership, and expertise in addressing complex challenges.

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Adaptable and quick to learn new processes, systems and changes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with full professional fluency in English
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Strong quantitative aptitude with a high level of accuracy and data integrity
- In-depth knowledge of shared services processes, methodologies and best practices
Compensation & Benefits:
- Expected Hiring Salary Range: $75,000 - $105,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

- Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more work days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
