Primary Purpose of Position:
Manages complex medium-to-large scale projects using advanced project management methodology and processes. Leads project teams and responsible for ensuring creation of project objectives and plans to deliver quality solutions on time and in full. Manages the strategic and tactical aspects of large projects and mitigates any risks; this includes reviewing and managing high-level deliverables within and across business units, performing project reviews and ensuring project management best practices are utilized.
Essential Functions:
- Create project plans based on business case, timelines, dependencies, financial factors and resources and ensure on-time execution in full.
- Provide project oversight and quality reviews, coordination of deliverable sign-off, and project reporting.
- Understand alternate delivery methods and ability to modify/align that methodology with the needs of the project.
- Formulate and manage the process for prioritizing and sequencing activity required to support successful execution of objectives at each decision point throughout the project while managing risk and project dependencies.
- Understand the demand model and assess impacts that result from potential project changes.
- Conduct risk and issue planning, integrate associated outcomes into the project plan.
- Manage the project change process and determine the impact of project changes on the business case, and re-forecast value creation.
- Manages projects to minimize the cost required to achieve approved project objectives, effectively using Ball’s project accounting systems.
- Effectively directs all members of project teams, including Steering Committee and external vendors.
- Provide oversight of supplier project managers responsible for program/project management activities and delivery including project scope management, review of status reports, project accounting and resolution/escalation of deviations from plan that have an impact on other projects, resources, cost, or time.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Broad training in a related field or college graduate degree level education or work-related experience
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 3+ years of experience managing large-scale initiatives
- 7+ years of project management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly desired
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Jira, including financial, and schedule performance reporting
- Advanced proficiency in analytical, organizational, project management, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Customer- and relationship-focused, process-driven, metric-focused, results-oriented, organized, self-directed
- Experienced in managing project scopes, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders with budget and risks
- Experience with metrics-driven management of small to medium scale projects efforts
- Proven project planning and management experience
- Good knowledge of ERP systems functionality, e.g., J.D. Edwards, SAP
- Working knowledge of the following areas:

Compensation & Benefits
- Hiring Salary Range: $108,500 - $155,030 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
