Primary purpose of the position:
Support customer bids and, based on financial analysis, provide guidelines to management. Support the contract administration function as directed.
Essential Responsible Areas:
- Complies with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work environment.
- Lead business case development from a financial perspective, including financial modelling to evaluate strategic initiatives, capital investments, and customer opportunities.
- Independently problem-solve complex questions from senior leaders, applying critical thinking, sound business judgment and ability to effectively manage ambiguity.
- Compile and maintain the 3-Year outlook forecast, incorporating key strategic business drivers and growth initiatives.
- Understand full profit and loss (P&L) for the outlook forecast and business case analyses.
- Prepare and analyse long-range contribution margin forecasts, identifying key levers impacting profitability through price, volume, & mix analysis (PVM).
- Coordinate, prepare, and present strategic and financial materials to senior leadership and decision makers, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Compile and synthesize complex data from multiple teams, cross-referencing inputs to validate accuracy and ensure consistency across financial and operational assumptions.
- Support company footprint and network optimization analyses, evaluating manufacturing and supply chain scenarios to enhance efficiency.
- Perform ad hoc pricing and product strategy analysis, partnering with commercial and finance teams to support customer negotiations and portfolio decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis processes for long range planning.
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company.
- Includes the ability to handle stress and to interact with others to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required between the assigned start and end times of work.
- Ad-hoc projects so as other tasks in line with company needs.
Professional & Education Qualification:
- Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college or work-related experience
- Job related experience for 5 year(s) minimum
Skills:
- Ability to apply intensive and diversified evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard finance techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Knowledge:
Working knowledge of the following areas:
- Finance, Essbase, Economic Value Added (EVA)
- Business and economic principles and practices
- Financial modeling
- P&L management
- Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerPoint, and other applicable software applications
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
- Hiring Salary Range: $74,600 - $104,160 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
