Primary purpose of the position:
Provides technical support to the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function as directed.
Essential Responsible Areas:
- Participates in the sales volume, revenue and contribution margin forecasting, planning and analysis process and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and related ad hoc requests on a timely basis.
- Drives the P&L forecasting process for assigned areas on a quarterly basis and the annual budgeting process resulting in the development of divisional financial statements.
- Pays attention to detail and is alert to business changes and how they might affect our financial statements in the future.
- Develops and maintains detailed analysis of divisional financial statements, produces standard reporting packages and KPI’s to support core business partners.
- Support process improvement by contributing and developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
- Perform detail analytics in order to drive business decisions.
- Maintains a working relationship with divisional accounting, commercial and contract administration teams to understand monthly reporting and support accurate financial results.
- Reviews assigned areas monthly results and provides summative and relevant analysis to stakeholders.
- Ownership of sales volume, revenue, and contribution margin forecasting and understanding. Critical need to business partner and maintain strong relationships cross functionally.
Professional & Education Qualification:
- Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college or work-related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
- Job related experience for 3 years minimum.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of the following areas: finance, accounting, business and economic principles and practices
- Strong financial modeling, strong excel spreadsheets, Word documents, JDE Enterprise One, and Essbase, preferred
- Ability to make detailed presentations of financial analysis, including on projects and a variety of business problems to executive management
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations
- Strong analytical, and problem solving skills
- Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
- Hiring Salary Range: $74,600 - $104,160 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
