Primary Purpose of the Position
Provides technical support to the cost accounting function as directed.
Essential Responsible Areas:
- Performs month-end close process and assists in the analysis and preparation of the divisional financial results for the corporate consolidation
- Performs quarterly financial statement disclosures, account reconciliations, and balance sheet variance analysis
- Prepares month-end close journal entries related to ACA, intercompany/eliminations, transfer pricing, sales accruals, business consolidation costs/restructuring activities, and customer inventory revaluations
- Develops and monitors procedures and guidelines for the division financial organization. This includes the maintenance of the beverage division accounting policies
- Creates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for areas of responsibility
- Works on various projects as assigned and continuously find ways to improve through creating efficiencies, streamlining repetitive processes, and leveraging technology
- Liaises with other functions and shared services functions in the performance of accounting responsibilities and in implementing company-wide initiatives, support audit requests as needed
- Performs adhoc duties and monthly analysis as needed to support divisional functions
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division and group
Position Requirement & Competencies:
- Broad training in a related field acquired through Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Finance degree may be acceptable with recent and relevant accounting work experience.
- Job related experience for 3 years minimum.
- Certifications/Licenses/Other: CPA preferred
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations.
- Working knowledge of the following areas: advanced accounting principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures; cost accounting, advanced command of Excel, savvy with technology tools, and navigate ERPs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hiring Salary Range: $70,800-$106,030 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
