Position Overview:
As the Regional Category Manager for MRO and IFM, you are a key member of the Indirect Supply Management & Execution team, reporting to the Director for ISS and Supply Management & Execution. You will contribute to the success of Ball by leading the full category management lifecycle process for regional categories including gathering, analyzing, and reporting on key market intelligence, developing a long-term, multi-year category strategy and development and evaluation of “go to market” strategies.
You will also support the global led- strategies for global categories and work with global counterparts and regional stakeholders to ensure that the global category strategies are executed to the benefit of the company .
Your Key Areas of Responsibility Include:
- Develop the detailed supplier relationship management and business continuity plans as well as category management strategy, identify opportunities, own the category strategy implementation and execution activities, define the annual goals, and will be the primary owner of the management of the supplier relationship process.
- Leverage multiple sources of market intelligence and data to make data-informed decisions.
- Develop a comprehensive view of the balance between supply and demand and actively monitors market conditions for the team’s categories on an ongoing basis in order to make informed decisions.
- Lead the performance management process for regional suppliers, including regular business reviews.
- Proactively report progress against regional sourcing goals/for the specified period.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or other relevant discipline or a minimum of 5 years job related experience or broad training in procurement or sourcing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in category management.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree such as an MBA or other advanced degree.
- Certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPSC or PMP.
- Category Management experience with maintenance repair operations (MRO) or integrated facilities management (IFM).\
- Experience using Coupa or JD Edwards (or similar ERP system).
Compensation & Benefits
- Hiring Salary Range: $98,900 - $141,330 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.

- Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Travel (up to 10%) and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
- Relocation may be available.
