Position Overview:

 

As a Production Graphics Coordinator,  you’re a key member of the Beverage Graphic Services team,  reporting to a Graphic Services Lead. You will contribute to the success of Ball by implementing administrative and production duties related to the graphics department including pilot production, plate making and various other processes for the production of products for all our manufacturing plants.   

 

Your Key Areas of Responsibilities Include:

 

Platemaker & Blanket Production:

  • Inspect plates/blankets for accuracy.
  • Produce printing plates/blankets for product labels according to files and computer order documents.
  • Replenish supplies and materials for assigned area.
  • Conduct inspection of materials and finished product.
  • Produce product at acceptable rate and quality, as directed by graphics.

 

Pilot Operator & Standards:

  • Coordinate the pilot production schedule.
  • Assist with the qualification of artwork.
  • Coordinate ink activity for pilot labels.
  • Proofread all artwork, pdfs standards and plates for accuracy.
  • Produce standards for  printing plates labels according to the pilot production schedule.
  • Maintain and rework old standards printing plates and plate PDF’s  for the pilot.
  • Assist in making major adjustments or mechanical repairs to the pilot production equipment.
  • Conduct inspection of in-process or finished product/standards.
  • Replenish supplies required for assigned area.
  • Perform troubleshooting on pilot production equipment as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on pilot production equipment as required.

 

Required Experience and Skills & Competencies: 

 

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school; college or graduate degree level education or work-related experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of  job related experience in a customer-focused role.
  • Team player: demonstrated ability to effectively create and maintain a positive teamwork environment.
  • Proficiency with common computer software (such as Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience that required meticulous attention to detail and the ability to match graphics (colors, alignment, etc.)
  • Excellent work prioritization skills; demonstrated ability to meet schedules and adapt quickly as work priorities change. 
  • Experience identifying and defining issues and using multiple sources ( Standard Operation Procedures, Innovation and/or  defined investigation techniques) to resolve issues.

 

 Compensation & Benefits

 

  • Onsite Work Environment: This position is based in Westminster, CO and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site 5 days per week. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required. 
  • Hiring Salary Range: $54,300 - $72,180 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
