Position Overview:


As a Master Supply Planner, you are a key member of the BPNCA Supply Chain Execution team, reporting to a  Manager, Master Supply Planning.  You will contribute to the success of Ball by developing production plans and inventory strategies for beverage packaging products across a manufacturing network that encompasses North and Central America. You will ensure maximum manufacturing efficiencies as well as optimal inventory levels while enabling delivery to customer requirements.

 

Your Key Areas of Responsibility Include: 

 

  • Develop master production schedules for multiple plants across the Beverage Packaging North and Central America network.
  • Direct distribution of inventory throughout the network to ensure inventory is available to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Work with management and inventory planners to develop safety stock and inventory strategies for assigned products.
  • Work with management to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement practices and LEAN management methodologies across our production planning and scheduling processes.
  • Coordinate across the supply network in lead-time-reduction activities to achieve the projected planned scheduler requirements, and support industry best-in-class production lead time.
  • Identify deviations from established plans, and develop recovery plans. Monitor S&OP plans to ensure alignment with the master production schedule.
  • Communicate master production schedules with manufacturing & plant management.
  • Measure, analyze and report key process metrics. Monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop, monitor and communicate reports on inventory and process execution to business unit and supply chain organizations, while driving continuous improvement.
  • Maintain business data to support production planning, inventory reporting and manufacturing systems.


Required Experience and Skills: 

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education with at least 4 years of work-related experience in supply chain roles, etc.  with a high preference for a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Analytics.  
  • 3 or more years of supply chain role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Work, Outlook, Excel with a preference for advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience using an ERP/MRP system.  

 

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

 

  • Experience using JD Edwards, Oracle Value Chain Planning or other similar ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of APICS Production and Inventor planning methodologies. 
  • Experience in a Production planning in a high -speed manufacturing environment.  

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • Expected Hiring Salary Range:  $75,400 - $105,290   (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

  • Onsite Work Environment: This requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.   
  • Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for { DIRECTOR & ABOVE:  four (4) or more days }  { BELOW DIRECTOR three (3) or more work days}  per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
