Position Overview:


As the Manager, Global Marketing Data Management  you’re a key member of the Global Strategy & Marketing Team, reporting to the Director, Global Insights & Analytics   You will contribute to the success of Ball by overseeing the development and implementation of data-management strategies to help drive business and marketing effectiveness.   You will lead the design and execution of data management initiatives, implementing data governance policies, and leveraging data analytics to inform strategic marketing decisions.

 

Your Key Areas of Responsibilities Include: 

 

  • Determine data access and overall management – create standards for what data we Ball use and how we use it. Additionally, build expertise in secondary data analytics to support Enterprise and Op. unit teams. 
  • Drive the vendor management setting up the enterprise relative to secondary market research including, for example, IRI, Neilsen, etc.  
  • Data Strategy Development: 
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with marketing and organizational goals. 
    • Define data management processes and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, and security. 
    • Identify data sources and establish protocols for data collection, storage, and integration. 
    • Collaborate with IT teams to implement data infrastructure and systems that support marketing initiatives and analytics. 
  • Data Governance and Compliance: 
    • Establish data governance frameworks and policies to ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards. 
    • Implement data quality controls and processes to maintain accurate and reliable data across marketing systems and platforms. 
    • Monitor and audit data usage to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to data governance policies. 
  • Data Analytics and Insights: 
    • Lead the development of data analytics capabilities to extract actionable insights from marketing data. 
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI. 
    • Conduct advanced analytics, including segmentation, predictive modeling, and attribution analysis, to optimize marketing strategies and campaigns. 
  • Collaboration and Integration: 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, marketing, Insights, IT, analytics, and finance, to ensure alignment and integration of data management strategies with business objectives. 
    • Partner with IT teams to integrate marketing data with other enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP) for a holistic view of customer interactions and behaviors. 
    • Work closely with marketing teams to understand their data needs and provide guidance on data-driven decision-making. 
  • Continuous Improvement: 
    • Monitor industry trends and best practices in data management and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. ‘
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data management processes, tools, and capabilities. 
    • Provide training and support to marketing teams on data-related tools, technologies, and best practices.

 

Required Experience and Skills: 

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing with a preference towards an advanced degree (MBA or higher).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in experience in data management, analytics, or related roles, with a focus on marketing data.
  • Marketing: Marketing technologies and platforms, such as CRM systems (SFDC), marketing automation tools, and digital analytics platforms. 
  • Strategic: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Data Management: 
    • Strong understanding of data management principles, practices, and technologies, including data governance, data quality, and data integration. 
    • In data analytics tools and platforms, such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI. 
  • Leadership: Leadership and communication, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Working Knowledge of:  
    • Regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to data privacy and security.  

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

 

  • Remote Work Environment: This position is eligible to be REMOTE in the U.S., with a home base preferably within a 50-mile radius of a major airport, due to travel requirements. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations will be  required.
  • Hiring Salary Range: $93,000 – $142,140 Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. 
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
