Ball is recruiting for our Summer 2021 interns.  Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.  In addition, applicants must be enrolled fall semester 2021.   This will be a full-time position for the summer for 10 weeks starting near the end of May 2021.

 

Position is located in Westminster, Colorado

 

The Ball Corporation Internship Program is a summer program that provides candidates with:

    There are many recreational opportunities along the Colorado Front Range. Our state is famous for its skiing, hiking, biking, mountain climbing and beautiful scenery. We are also just 30 minutes from Denver, with access to all of the amenities that the mile high city has to offer. Over the course of a summer session, students are encouraged to participate in social and recreational activities, many of which are organized by the College Relations Department. Mentors and department co-workers enjoy spending time with students at many of the activities.

Internship responsibilities many include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with day-to-day corporate communications activities.
  • Develop content for internal and external communications, including electronic newsletters, intranet, email blasts, digital signs, internal campaigns and events, news releases, features, media pitches, websites, videos, collateral pieces and more.
  • Assist with ongoing content development and management of Ball’s digital channels
  • Develop multimedia elements as needed to complement communications projects.
  • Ongoing communications monitoring and measurement
  • Partner with other company departments, such as community relations, human resources, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, investor relations and various other business functions, on internal and external communications.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a master’s or bachelor’s degree program at the junior or senior level or higher. 
  • Major in public relations, communication, journalism, media, marketing, English or a related field
  • Strong writing skills and knowledge of AP Style
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment
  • A basic understanding of the corporate communications function and experience in a professional working environment
  • Desired, but not required, working knowledge of the following:
    • Photography
    • Video production and editing
    • Digital communications/social media management
  • HTML
  • Flexibility moving quickly from one project to the next
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills 

Compensation & Benefits

  • This is a paid internship. Hourly rates between $17.00 - 22.00 for Bachelor level and up to $27.00 for Graduate level interns.
