Position Overview: 


Our internship program is designed for students enrolled in an accredited university or college who are interested in developing on-the-job skills, experiences and insights that last a lifetime. Over the course of 10 weeks, you will have opportunities to learn about several areas of our business, network and collaborate with Ball leaders, and get involved in challenging project work.

 

The Corporate Development Analyst Intern will gain knowledge across corporate finance and the mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and investment lifecycle while working on various projects/deals throughout the summer.

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Support project work in corporate development, in partnership with Ball’s business divisions and functions.
  • Research and analyze markets and target companies to support potential Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) activities.
  • Collect, process, and analyze financial data from various sources that are utilized by the corporate development team.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest economic, financial, and industry trends and learn how these changes impact Ball.
  • Assist Corporate Development team with financial analysis on potential strategic acquisition and investment targets.
  • Help create presentations for senior management.
  • Meet with key financial counterparts to learn about current activities with the M&A markets.
  • Attend professional development activities, including a professional development week at our corporate headquarters in Colorado.

 

What We Are Seeking: 

 

  • Current students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or other related disciplines at an accredited 4-year college or university.
  • And has completed at least one year of coursework with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Demonstrated interest in corporate finance and the mergers and acquisitions space.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial information and building financial models.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits: 

 

  • Hourly Rate:  $24 - $26 (hourly rate is dependent on education level)
  • May be eligible for additional housing benefits
  • Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more work days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required..
