Intern, Commercial Planning & Operations

Primary Purpose of the Position:
Responsible for performing a wide range of activities related to Commercial planning and operations, such as project support and execution, market research, communication within the Commercial team, and data analysis and interpretation. May also be asked to assist with projects across the Commercial team for learning and business needs. Program is 10 - 12 weeks during Summer 2024.
Essential Responsible Areas:
- Supporting project work in area of focus.
- Coordinates and follows up on the execution of initiatives led by functional experts.
- As needed to support accounts and Commercial strategy, researches and analyzes historical trends, market trends, market capacity, and competitive environment. Distills findings into a cohesive narrative that can be shared with internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
- Prepares business related analyses and research of key account(s) including inventories, sales/production volumes and pricing.
- Assists with tracking and reporting of Commercial KPIs.
- Interacts with marketing, production planning, accounting, quality assurance, technical service, and plant personnel regarding the requirements of key account(s).
- Supports documentation of new and existing Commercial processes.
- Performs other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Position Requirement & Competencies:
Professional & Education Qualification
- Training in a related field usually acquired through college courses or work-related experience
- Job related experience for 0-1 years preferred
- Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university with Junior or Senior standing and have an anticipated graduation date of no earlier than December 2024.
Skills
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint; existing knowledge of Qlik is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: $24/hr - $26/hr
- Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week in Colorado (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
- May be eligible for additional housing benefits
