Position Overview:

 

As a Graphics Services Lead, you are a key member of the Graphics Services Team; reporting to the Supervisor, Color Standards NCA.   You will contribute to the success of Ball by providing support for the quality assurance graphic services function as directed, specifically in the Pilot, and Color Standards functions.

 

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Implement the administrative duties as related to the graphics department including Pilot,  Standards and development of graphics for all plants and customers.
  • Empower employees and activities of the department/production function to ensure safety, quality, productivity are met or exceeded and responsible for sustaining 5S protocol in all areas.
  • Enable employees in the on-floor execution of operation and maintenance for the assigned production areas.
  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining the pilot production schedule and standards log and accountable for weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Lead personnel in the on-floor efforts for the operation and maintenance of the pilot production equipment.
  • Locate and stage printing plates for labels according to the pilot production schedule and ensure ink availability for pilot labels and color management.
  • Perform various production functions by operating and making minor adjustments to the pilot production equipment to meet customer specifications.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of the troubleshooting and preventative maintenance process on the pilot printer, oven, plate processor(s), washers and all other auxiliary equipment.
  • Foster a strong team environment  and supervise Graphics Coordinators; deliver performance reviews to all direct reports, resolve employee issues escalating when necessary.
  • Backup for Graphics Manager in their absence, when needed.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 2-3 years minimum of print or graphics industry or warehouse managment or other related experience.
  • Demonstrated Skills:
    • Ability to train and lead team members.
    • Documenting and revising standard operation procedures. 
    • Ability to effectively create and maintain a collaborative  teamwork environment.
    • Must be able to organize, plan, and prioritize and able to meet deadlines.
    • Able to recognize and define problems, use an investigative process to analyze and evaluate complex information from a number of sources to arrive at conclusions. 
    • Ability to anticipate tasks, situations in carrying out responsibilities.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy to work.
  • Working knowledge of the following areas:
      • Graphic principles.
      • Plate and color standards terminology and procedures.

Compensation & Benefits

 

  • Hiring Salary Range: $66,700- $93,160 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.

  • Onsite Work Environment: This position is based in Westminster, CO and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site 5 days per week. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
