Primary purpose of the position: 
Responsible for implementing and supporting complex solutions that meet business needs.  Ensures delivery of complex solutions by configuring and implementing to system specifications.  Configures and enhances technology solutions that align with business needs.  Ensures solutions are in alignment with the enterprise architecture blueprint, the solutions architecture, and ensures that systems and application designs adhere to standards and policies.

 
What will you be responsible for?

  • Performs as the technical lead for the project.  Provides leadership in the implementation and execution of technology solutions to complex business problems.
  • Works closely with program managers, developers, and other functional groups to understand the program schedules and provide work break down estimates.
  • Ensures the delivery of high quality technical solutions that meet business needs.  Configures, develops, tests, monitors, and supports changes and enhancements to applications systems.
  • Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative business solutions that challenges the business on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
  • Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of the application portfolio and its correlation to the business’ tactical and strategic plans.
  • Utilizes industry best practices where relevant to Ball’s future.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors including software providers, implementation partners, and consultants
  • Assist the team with user acceptance testing requirements for existing and new business systems and modules
  • Manage the configuration and setup of related application solutions
  • Supports all phases of the SDLC (software development life cycle).

 

What are we looking for?

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Job related experience for 2-5  years minimum.  
  • 2+ years development experience implementing solutions for complex systems support business processes.
  • Experience in communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (functional requirements (business requirements document), iii, use cases, GUI, screen and interface designs).
  • Experience in driving process and technology re-engineering using industry practices e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, COBIT, ITIL, CMMi.

 

Knowledge of the following areas:

  • Ability to negotiate with customers to promote or sell ideas or concepts.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Ability to be flexible about project changes and dynamically mitigate risks in the moment with mid-course corrective action
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong Team management skills (both Onshore/offshore) are required
  • Strong understanding of design tools preferably based upon industry standards, as well as software development methodology.
  • Working knowledge of the following areas:  system and business principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures, generally accepted managerial practices and procedures, programming, systems design, computer operating systems and utilities, project management, risk management, security, cost management, implementation and start-up of new business processes and computerized systems.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and expertise in field.  Strong development skills in relevant technology
  • Has good analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Understanding of software quality principles, including test methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, SQL Server, REST, REACT

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The preferred location for this role is our Westminster, CO campus; but we will consider a REMOTE candidate, dependent on experience, qualifications and willingness to engage in regular travel to Colorado. [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
  • Hiring Salary Range: $ 72,900 -  $102,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
