Primary purpose of the position:
Responsible to lead the PHC Finance department and will direct the division’s financial forecasting, budgeting process, and operating plan variance analysis.   Responsibilities include FP&A, Commercial Finance, Pricing Strategy, and a key business partner to the Operational teams.  This position will provide financial consulting and strategic planning in  support of the President of PHC and VP FP&A.  This will include preparing board presentations, financial reports, and capital expenditure analysis.  This position will provide critical business partner to all business functions and support the Executive Leadership team in the execution of business plans to maximise profitable growth to the PHC business.  This role will be a part of the Global FP&A team and will help drive consistencies across the global organization in terms of reporting, analysis, process, and understanding financial performance of the business.

 

Essential Responsible Areas:

  • Accountable for Strategic Profitability Management, shaping and driving our profitable growth strategy with other key stakeholders in the Executive and extended leadership team.
  • Accountable for Financial Footprint modelling & strategy, working with key stakeholders to optimise our footprint for profitable growth.
  • Support President, VP FP&A Growth Finance, and wider Exec Leadership team on strategic and operational business performance and financial delivery, leveraging cross functional relationships to identify opportunities and mitigate risks in delivery of financial targets. 
  • Directs the consolidation and analysis of the division and actual vs forecast variance analysis.
  • Responsible for all financial planning activities from Strategic Planning, Annual Operating Plan, and in-year re-forecasts of the business
  • Accountable for all management reporting and analysis to Regional Executive Team 
  • Accountable for business partnering activities with the business including:
    •  Supply Chain and Operations.
    •  IBP – Logistics Controlling and financial stewardship around IBP strategic and operational cycles.
    •  Sourcing – Logistics and Metal/ODM Controlling supporting price/cost analysis and optimisatio.
    •  Commercial – Profitability analysis, price volume mix analysis and metal pass-through effectiveness.
    •  HR – Headcount and SG&A Controlling and analysi.
    •  Coordination with Group Treasury function to ensure appropriate mitigation strategies for commodity and FX risks within the business.
    • Partner with all department heads to collect necessary inputs and provide financial guidance.
  • Directs the consolidation and analysis of the division's SG&A costs and provides analysis of such spending to division, department, and executive functional leaders. 
  • Be a lead voice in the Global FP&A leadership team, driving best practice and process improvements.
  • Be a lead voice in the vision, design and implementation of the broader systems landscape and integrations journey.  
  • Shaping the future FP&A function organisational design and supporting the VP Finance in the broader Finance Function Organisational Design to deliver a best-in-class function that attracts, develops and progresses talent through the business. 
  • Management of 3 direct reports and a total team of ten. 

 

Position Requirments, Education, Competencies: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with a preference towards MBA, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ finance in industry experience, with an emphasis on manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ working across the full breadth of the financial skillset spectrum, inclusive of financial accounting/reporting, management accounting analysis, business partnering, and financial transformation. 
  • Minimum of 3-4 years' work in a large scale, multi-territory, multi-currency finance department.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with ability to stand back and assess the bigger picture.
  • Understanding and analyzing complex financial topics.
  • Delivery focus.
  • Excellent understanding of management accounting/reporting in a manufacturing business.
  • Strong influencing at senior management level.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Able to manage and motivate a large team and leverage relationships cross-functionally to meet business objectives, including with exec stakeholders at Regional/Global level.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hiring Salary Range: $ 145,700 - 213,020 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
