Position overview:


As the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, you are a key member of the Ball Finance team, reporting to the Senior Director, Financial Planning, Analysis & Strategy. You and the team you lead, will work alongside the Beverage Packaging (North, Central and South America) Division to deliver key financial analysis and insights. Your team will direct the division’s financial forecasting, reporting and analysis processes. This will include monthly, quarterly and annual requirements, as well as ad-hoc requests. You will be an essential partner to the business, providing financial consulting and strategic planning by preparing quarterly business reviews, executive financial reports, and divisional financial performance reporting.


Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinate with finance peers and divisional leadership to ensure the timely and accurate completion of forecasts and actual results reporting
  2. Create best-in-class financial infrastructure, including forecasting, budgeting and KPI analysis
  3. Advise senior management on critical  decision-making, including revenue and cost recommendations to maximize value
  4. Partner with all department heads to collect necessary inputs and provide financial guidance, including setting key financial targets
  5. Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  6. Direct the consolidation and analysis of divisional financial reports
  7. Ensure the effective delivery of analyses of actual results against plans and reforecasts to key management stakeholders
  8. Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in sales efforts, new product development and operational performance
  9. Oversee the development of financial modeling and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  10. Direct the preparation of quarterly, monthly, yearly, and ad-hoc financial reports


Experience and skills required:

  • Position requires 10+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting. 
  • Current understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Understanding of other regulatory requirements of a large, multi-national public company, such as Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, investor reporting, and public filing requirements.
  • Must be intimately familiar with financial statement analyses, including but not limited to sources and uses of cash flow, and how changes to the financial statements impact EVA and cash flow.
  • Excellent Analytical and PC skills (especially in the use of Excel and Company systems)
  • Ability to work with senior management and develop / present executive level analysis


Compensation & Benefits

  • Hiring Salary Range: $134,300 - $208,610 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • Other Compensation: This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
