Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Global Process & Technology Leader plays a critical role in the strategic management and delivery of business services, global process management, technology product management, and data domain management. This role partners closely with Ball's global business leadership to ensure alignment with company strategic direction and priorities and drives the strategy for process, data, and technologies that support Ball's global operating model. This role requires a blend of strategy, operations management, process, data, and technical acumen, business insight, and strong leadership skills to effectively manage and improve business capabilities across Ball's global enterprise.
What will you be responsible for?
- Global management of business service teams, including managing dispersed global talent, overseeing budget, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions.
- Manage and enhance end-to-end business processes, including enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and standardizing processes across the organization. Stay updated with industry trends to drive continuous innovation.
- Implement shared services strategies, while owning and setting strategy for application portfolios and product management within a capability area.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards, including regulations around data protection.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead improvement initiatives and implement global best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders internal to GSS and within the broader business landscape to align process objectives with broader organizational goals, translating business needs into technical strategies and roadmaps.
- Develop technology strategies and solutions for global functions with a primary focus on Finance & Commercial ( overlaps with other functional areas such as - Operations, Supply Chain Management, Commercial, Procurement, HR, Finance, and Legal)
- Manage the entire technology capability product lifecycle
- Manage and optimize data assets within specific domains such as customer data, financial data, or product data, ensuring the overall quality, integrity, and strategic use of these data sets.
- Execute data governance practices and data quality standards.
What are we looking for?
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Business or relevant field.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience doing relevant work with increasing levels of responsibility in a large, matrixed organization.
Skills:
- Demonstrated skill in leading global, multinational, and remote teams in a matrix organization, with demonstrated ability to work across and deliver multiple critical paths and develop schedules in a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated skill in Lean practices (Lean Certification - Green/Black Belt preferred).
- Demonstrated skill in process re-engineering, program management, and technology implementation.
- Demonstrated skill in synthesizing varied viewpoints to identify an optimal solution and develop a coherent plan or vision.
- Demonstrated skill in collaborating and driving execution at all levels of the organization on a global basis.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a global billing, credit and collections function Including transformation initiatives.
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement and quality in delivery; working knowledge of concepts of Lean and Agile.
- Working knowledge of planning skills at a strategic, global level, including ability to drive the strategic planning process for a cross-functional ITS / GBS team, and align stakeholders to execute within established KPIs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- This role is based in Colorado and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for four (4) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
- Relocation will be considered for this role.
- Hiring Salary Range: $ 142,400 - 208,400 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
