Primary purpose of the position:
The Director, Procurement & SC Planning & Execution Finance will serve as a strategic advisor and partner to the global procurement organization providing proactive financial insights around metal, ODM, capital and indirect contracts both prior to and following execution, designed to achieve greater EVA$ for our businesses. This highly influential role will also serve as the connective tissue aligning teams to elevate EVA$ generation globally. This role will drive the procurement presentations to the CEO, CFO, treasurer and general counsel on a bi-weekly basis as part of the board of directors governance model that will determine the negotiation strategy and the long term success of the business. This role will further create and track financial KPI’s for the global procurement organization around the approximately $11 billion in annual purchases. This role will also serve as a strategic adviser and partner to the global supply chain planning and execution organization providing proactive insights and being a liaison with the regional VP of finance on global KPI’s and process standardization for the global supply chain organization.


Essential Responsible Areas:

  • Provide detailed financial strategic advice to the global procurement organization such that this advice drives incremental EVA dollar generation both before and after execution.
  • Create tools, methods, process, templates that produce efficiency and consistency across all businesses
  • Create and drive standardization/streamlined reports, analyses, KPIs and pricing models in support of their objectives, profitability and EVA
  • Review and provide strategic financial advice both prior to and after signing of new contracts including reading all contracts before they are signed
  • Provides strategic financial advice including identifying financial risks inherent between the commercial and procurement agreements
  • Collaborates with the regional executive and finance leadership to leverage best practices globally
  • Creates financial modelling for supplier negotiation
  • Manages consolidated analyses to support global visibility and understanding for executive and regional leadership
  • Responsible for the preparation of procurement committee presentations to the CEO, CFO, Treasurer and general counsel on a bi-weekly basis. 
  • Provides strategic actions and recommendations that the global procurement and supply chain execution organizations can action into incremental EVA$.
  • Regularly prepares and shares data analysis with the global procurement and supply chain planning and execution organizations
  • Analyses finance data, both current and historical, to create solutions and drive improvement; supports supplier relationships and operations by providing analysis on areas such as top suppliers per region, approved contracts vs demand expectations, and provides recommendations 
  • Partner with the global procurement team in understanding the procurement contracts as well as driving and influencing EVA results upon successful contract negotiation.  
  • Responsible to recommend and partner with IT on any related tools that are required to further drive value for the global procurement and supply chain execution organizations

  1. Provide financial expertise and strategic advice on multi-billion dollars in annual purchases across metal, ODM’s and Indirect categories
  2. Provide and establish procurement KPI’s, scorecards, savings trackers and PPV reporting
  3. Review all material procurement agreements prior to execution to identify financial risks inherent in the contracts and partner with Corp FP&A to establish a governance committee to review inherent risks that do not match with our commercial agreements
  4. Partner with all procurement category leads to drive down our sourcing costs
  5. Partner with the VP Supply Chain Planning and Execution on the financial needs to standardize their processes and KPI’s globally.


Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field 
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience doing procurement or supply chain execution finance work


Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Experience with creating efficient and value-add processes
  • Working knowledge of the following areas: Finance, Accounting, Economic Value Added (EVA), business and economic principles and practices, financial modeling, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Proficient in Hyperion Financial tools (HFM, Essbase, Planning, etc.) preferred

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • This role will be located in our global headquarters in Westminster, CO.
  • Hiring Salary Range: $125,600 - $183,610 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
