Dir, Metal and ODM Supply Management & Execution (NCA)

Position Summary:

The Regional People and Category Leader provides direction and management for spend categories that can range from $250M to $500M. Their team will consist of Category/Supply Manager, Buyers and/or Analysts.  They will set sourcing strategy, execute and assure supply.

What Are You Responsible For?

• Provides direction and management support for a Procurement Management team, including setting goals and ensuring that the team is working toward achievement of those goals.
• Leads the full category management lifecycle process for at least one large, category including gathering, analyzing, and reporting on key market intelligence, developing a long-term, multi-year category strategy and development and evaluation of “go to market” strategies and supports the efforts of the team members with their categories.
• Leverages multiple sources of market intelligence and data to make data-informed decisions.
• Develops a comprehensive view of the balance between supply and demand and actively monitors market conditions for the team’s categories on an ongoing basis in order to make informed decisions.
• Has responsibility for the development and evaluation of “go to market” strategies for categories and can achieve creative commercial outcomes through negotiation planning and successful execution by directing cross functional teams of stakeholders
• Able to work across business units and engage with Regional Stakeholder teams and leadership to facilitate positive outcomes for the organization
• Leads the performance management process for at least one global supplier, including regular business reviews and supports the efforts of the team members with their suppliers. 
• Proactively reports progress against sourcing goals for the specified period.
• Achieve savings goals and assurance of that Ball has the goods and services needed to run the business. 
• This role will drive decarbonization targets with each supplier.
• Seek out new market innovations that can be game changing for Ball Corporation.
• Ensures our suppliers are meeting our ESG goals leveraging tools such as Sedex and use of Diverse Suppliers.

What Are We Looking For?

• 5 years of overall job related experience in sourcing, procurement, with direct materials category experience.  Broad training usually acquired through college education.
• Bachelor’s degree with master’s degree or advanced certification preferred (e.g., MBA, CPM, CPSM, CPSC, PMP)
• Demonstrated skill in leadership and a demonstrated strenght and ability to organize and lead dynamic teams.
• Demonstrated skill in category management, strategic sourcing and supplier relationship mangement principles and application.
• Financial analytics and experience in enhancing value through negotiations.
• Comfortable working through ambiguity.

Compensation & Benefits:

• This role will be based in our global headquarters in Westminster, CO and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for four (4) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required. Relocation assistance will be considered. 
• Hiring Salary Range: $129,400 - $189,190 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
• This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
