Primary Purpose of this Position:
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for establishing and maintaining a global information security strategy that protects the company’s digital assets, intellectual property, and operational technology (OT) across multiple manufacturing plants worldwide. This role ensures compliance with international regulations, mitigates cybersecurity risks, and safeguards production systems against evolving threats.
Essential Responsible Areas:
- Leading the global security strategy through the development and implementation of a unified cybersecurity strategy across all regions, including plants and corporate offices. Alignment of security initiatives with global business objectives and manufacturing operations.
- Leading our risk management efforts by conducting global risk assessments for IT and OT environments, including industrial control systems (ICS) and IoT devices and the implementation of standardized risk-based controls across diverse geographies.
- Managing policy & compliance through the establishment of global security policies and ensuring adherence to international standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, CMMC). Managing compliance with regional regulations and customer requirements.
- Leading Ball's global incident response and crisis management for cyberattacks, breaches, and ransomware. Coordination with regional teams and external partners during security events.
- Oversee the deployment of security technologies across global IT and OT environments. Ensuring secure integration of ERP systems, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and cloud platforms across the enterprise.
- Driving global cybersecurity awareness programs for employees and plant employees and fostering a culture of security across all regions and operational levels.
- Managing vendor and third-party risk by assessing and monitoring security posture of global suppliers and partners in the manufacturing supply chain.
- Building and leading a global security team with regional representation. Collaborate with plant managers, IT leaders, and executive stakeholders to embed security into operations.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years in information security, with at least 5 years in a global leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments strongly preferred.
- CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Expertise in OT security and global regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
- Ability to manage security across multiple time zones and cultures.

Compensation & Benefits:
- This role is based in our global headquarters in Westminster, CO. The role requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for four (4) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
- Relocation assisstance will be considered.
- Hiring Salary Range: $ 181,100 - 264,780 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
