Primary Purpose of this Position:

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for scoping, planning and executing approved projects.  Works closely with Senior Manager or Portfolio Managers by reviewing and managing high-level deliverables within and across business teams, performing project reviews and ensuring project management best practices take place for all engagements, with a focus on Growth Projects.


Essential Responsible Areas:

  • Create project plans based on business case, timelines, dependencies, financial factors and resources and ensure on-time, on budget, on scope execution.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of personnel within the escalation process and the specific responsibilities of the PM in facilitating that process.
  • Provide project oversight and quality reviews, coordination of deliverable sign-off, and project reporting.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Understand delivery methods (e.g. waterfall, agile) and can select, modify/align that method with the needs of  the project. 
  • Manage the project change process and determine the impact of project changes on the business case, and re-forecast value creation.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of project management structures and disciplines across Ball.
  • Provide project oversight and quality reviews, coordination of deliverable sign-off, and project reporting 
  • Understand the business context of the project and uses knowledge to make appropriate decisions on project approach, issue and risk management, and dependency and constraint management.
  • Ability to communicate across business and IT stakeholders, especially when changes to project need to be communicated
  • Understand the demand model and assess impacts that result from prospective project changes 
  • Conduct risk and issue planning, integrate associated outcomes into the project plan
  • Build and maintain an in depth knowledge of the processes, systems, and data in a defined capability/service delivery area.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • All other assignments associated with above mentioned tasks, which employer assigns to employee.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience 
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in project management, from conception to delivery
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) and activities / deliverables (e.g. work planning, status reporting, issue management)
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Visio or similar applications
  • Previous experience using ServiceNow preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills            
  • Work experience in a global, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work on confidential projects

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • Expected Hiring Salary Range: $75,400 - $105,290  (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

  • Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more work days}  per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
