Primary purpose of the position:

Responsible for supporting Beverage Packaging – North America reporting & analysis process including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements, as well as ad-hoc analysis. Acts as liaison with accounting, commercial finance, and other key business stakeholders to ensure accurate forecast and reporting. Supports discussions on opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


Essential Responsible Areas:

  • Acts as the Cash Flow analyst on the NCA Financial Analysis & Planning team and prepares the annual and quarterly balance sheet forecasts. 
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow and balance sheet reporting and variance analysis. Provides support for ad-hoc inquires. 
  • Collaborates with accounting and other key business partners to identify the business activity driving changes in balance sheet accounts and provide a recommendation to finance leadership on the impact to full year cash flow. 
  • Acts as integral part of Financial Planning and Analysis team by supporting process improvement to deliver timely, accurate and forecasted results to all levels of Ball management team.
  • Utilizes excel skills to improve efficiency and minimize errors in forecast and reporting models. 
  • Participates in Process Improvement activities as needed such as assisting in the development of financial and non-financial reports/dashboards. 
  • Prepares and maintains all applicable process documentation and training materials. 
  • Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.

 

Professional & Education Qualification:

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college or work-related experience


Skills:    

  • Analytical ability, including comprehension of financial performance results and associated evaluation of drivers affecting results. 
  • Must be able to manage conflicting priorities and to meet established timeliness while maintaining accuracy in their work.
  • Preferred experience creating financial models


Knowledge:    

  • Working knowledge of the following areas:  
    • Advanced finance, accounting, and business principles, practices, and procedures
    • Computer spreadsheets (Excel), word processing programs (MS Word)
    • General economic principles

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
  • Hiring Salary Range: $66,000 - $92,200 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
