Primary Purpose of Position:
The Analyst, Commercial Operations will work with the Sr. Manager, Commercial Operations to develop and deploy Commercial reporting and routines that will better meet the needs of our account teams and – most critically – our customers. The role will interact with all levels of the account sales team and providing support process and tool development, optimization and training, reporting and analytics and other ad hoc projects as needed for standardized account management.

 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Assist the Sr. Manager, Commercial Operations in implementing processes that will improve and streamline the sales account management role and customer experience
  • Prepare business-related analyses and reporting on both regular and ad-hoc cadences for a diverse range of internal and external audiences to support Play to Win strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and deliver routine and ad-hoc tools, templates and general support frameworks for Growth and/or Commercial organization
  • Provide recommendations for reporting and dashboard needs as part of larger Commercial Enablement initiatives
  • Identify and generate key data, reporting, dashboards, and data visualizations needed by the sales and Commercial Operations teams to drive efficiencies and bring actionable insights to the business
  • Prepare the aggregation of data from cross-functional stakeholders to support high level, strategic decision-making - including various activities associated with the monthly demand planning process, generating content for Joint Business Planning reviews, strategic plans, and annual business planning as needed
  • Prepare the weekly Commercial Outlook Commentary for executive review
  • Prepare the monthly Commercial KPI Dashboard data gathering, maintenance and make recommendations for future improvements with an eye for automation
  • Generates presentations, reports, and dashboards that visually displays data in a way that makes insights from complex data understandable and useable for the audience

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with data collection, reporting, or analysis (including internships or academic projects)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data organization and analysis
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preparing reports, presentations, or data visualizations for an audience

 

Skills:

  • Utilizing reporting and dashboards within Microsoft product suite
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work equally well with quantitative and qualitative data sources to provide data-driven solutions
  • Balance data analysis with data visualization
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience; including both verbal and written communications

 

Knowledge: 

  • Experience in successful process optimization projects, with a focus on scalability and driving significant impact
  • Strong understanding of data KPIs
  • Proven demonstration of Microsoft suite knowledge (preferred intermediate to expert skillset in Excel and Vizio) 

 

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

  • Expected Hiring Salary Range: $66,700 - $93,160 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

  • Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more work days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
