Primary purpose of the position:

Provides technical support to the North & Central America (NCA) accounting function as directed.

Essential Responsible Areas:

• Develops and monitors procedures and guidelines for the division financial organization.  This includes the maintenance of the beverage division accounting policies.
• Assists in divisional projects to better utilize systems and resources in order to drive or support value-add initiatives.
• Performs month-end close accounting and assists in the analysis and preparation of divisional financial results for the corporate consolidation. This will require working extended hours during close.
• Liaises with other divisions and shared services functions in the performance of accounting responsibilities and in implementing company-wide initiatives.
• Prepares monthly analyses and reports for management.
• Prepares monthly account reconciliations.
• Creates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
• Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division and group.  

Position Requirement & competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar (Finance degree may be acceptable with recent and relevant accounting work)
• Job related experience for 1-3 year(s) minimum 
• Certifications/Licenses/Other: CPA Desirable but not required 
• Working extended hours during close

Skills:    

• Ability to apply intensive and diversified evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard accounting techniques, procedures, and criteria. 
• Ability to analyse and interpret data and make recommendations. 

Knowledge:    

• Working knowledge of the following areas:  advanced accounting principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures; cost accounting, JD Edwards, consolidation systems (Hyperion), computer spreadsheets (Excel) and word processing (MS Word) programs.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
• Hiring Salary Range: $66,000 - $92,200 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
• This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.]
