Primary purpose of the position:
The Sustainability Engineer – Chemical Process, BPEMEA focuses on achieving Energy KPI goals (namely - water) through auditing, standardization and implementation of best practices for efficient Water/Chemical/waste water and waste management processes.
What will you be responsible for?
• Identified as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with regards to can washers, Front end lubricating Systems, chemical proceses that are either used or have the potential of being used in a can-making plant.
• Understands / Implements the Global Standards that lead to the best-in-class Water and Waste-Generation.
• Supports Global Sustainability Engineering stakeholders in the pursuit and adoption of best-in-class Water and Waste-Generation Global Standards.
• Trains BPAMEA Plant Employees on process steps and best practices with regards to the efficient use of Water and Waste-Generation.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge and utilization of Lean Six Sigma in all phases of the implementation of Water and Waste-Generation Global Standards.
• Develops / Plans capital projects that support the implementation of Water and Waste-Generation Global Standards.
• Converts guidance and data from Global Sustainability Engineering into Strategy and Action Plans for the BPAMEA region.
• Collaborates with supply base to identify new sustainability technologies; feeding new information to the Global Sustainability Engineering group for consideration in the Global Standards.
What are we looking for?
• Minimum 6 year’s experience in Chemical Process operations in can manufacturing or related field
• Minimum 2 year’s experience in related Supervisory role leading Chemical process in can manufacturing or related field
• Working knowledge of Basic Chemistry
• University Degree in Chemical Engineering - preferred
• Demonstrated skill in Chemical process operations
• Demonstrated skill in Washers control and optimization
• Demonstrated skill in Waste water treatment plants
• Fluent written and spoken English
