Primary purpose of the position:

This position is responsible of having full control on safety, process, methods, equipment and raw materials related to washing and internal laquer aplication areas, while suporting operators with training to achieve expected KPIs.

Essential Responsible Areas:

• Responsible for maintaining a clean, well organized, safe and secure working environment. This includes 5s program, corrective unsafe acts/conditions, performing weekly safety inspections and be involved in investigating any potential accident.
• Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the quality system, including the procedures and records related with the washing and internal lacquer area.
• Directs and coordinates the activities of the washing and internal lacquer (IL) function in the plant and its interface with the group office.
• Responsible to keep a future vision of the company to change, adapt, replace equipment and machinery that meet the customers and corporation expectations.
• Support production team to assure the KPIs of the plant according to planning schedule.
• Define and monitoring the area’s KPIs to accomplish the company goals.
• Directs information to the plant manager, department heads, with appropriate reports.
• May be responsible for administration of data / computer systems and telecommunications systems of the coating team.
• Responsible for supervising outside contractors in the area.
• Responsible for LOTO program development and implementation in the area.
• Establishes and maintains effective work relationship within the department, the division, the group and the Company.
• Performs those administrative activities necessary for effective management, including provision for selection and development of employees, salary administration, budget administration, employees safety, employee counseling, motivation, meeting objectives, planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the organization.
• Responsible to the analyses and define the corrective activities for breakdowns and lost time to impact the coating area.
• Support of Quality department for activities related to position.
• Responsible of implementing and supervising Autonomus Maintanance to the equipment
• Keep the equipment in original conditions so it can work to higer speed and OEE while producing quality product
• Responsible for washing machine chemicals and water consumption
• Responsible internal laquer consumption

Professional & Education Qualification

• Chemical Engineering or similar.
• 5 -8 years production experience with focus on coating, 5 years managing teams.

Skills & Knowledge

• Proficiency on equipments related to the area.
• Technical knowledge of chemicals.
• Experience on printed packaging materials (aluminum, carton, etc.)
• Mechanical knowledge of machinery.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
