We are are looking for a Sustainability Director that will be responsible for designing, developing and leading the implementation of the sustainability strategy in the South America region, being the main communicator of the company’s positioning with stakeholders, in events and media channels.
 
What You’ll Do:
 
•    Position the company as a leading voice in sustainability debates;
•    Drive the implementation of our global sustainability agenda in the region;
•    Provide out of the box thinking and develop regional and national strategies aiming to fulfill the current and future needs of the business, within a modern and innovative approach to “commercialize sustainability”;
•    Develop and implement the sustainability plan and Public Affairs in the region;
•    Lead the development of a cohesive & comprehensive approach in using sustainability as a competitive advantage for the company;
•    Conduct appropriate research and commission targeted studies to support our sustainability position;
•    Support Commercial to engage customers at a higher level;
•    Attend meetings and present to customers and suppliers as necessary;
•    Collaborate with multiple teams including sales, communications, legal, government relations, marketing.

 
What You’ll Need:
 
•    Complete Graduation, preferably in environmental science, sustainability, business or a related field
•    Solid experience in Corporate Sustainability;
•    Maintain an understanding of relevant requirements in South America region;
•    Understand carbon market development;
•    Knowledge in Environmental Legislation; 
•    Experience managing and executing complex projects;
•    Comfortable working in matrixed environment;
•    Ability to influence and support cross functional teams and to collaborate across many different disciplines;
•    Leadership and communication skills;
•    Minimum advanced level in English, Spanish and Portuguese;
•    Travel up to 50%
 
Type of Work: This position is for Hybrid type of work, being on-site three or more days per week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between different locations will be required.
