Primary purpose of the position
Maintains regulatory and customer requirements applicable to the region and provides evaluation and guidance in; compliance, risk assessment, mitigation actions and record maintenance. Primary liaison with internal/external parties relative to food contact regulatory information and certification. Provides input and support to internal audits, quality management procedures, supplier requirements, and third party audits.
Reviews raw material requirements and change management impacts, and attends industry-related meetings. Works across functions with commercial quality and engineering teams. Works with peers to develop a standardized approach to producing compliance documents. Provides support for Internal Audits as needed, including Lead Auditor role.
Horizon scanning, producing declarations of compliance, liaise with Ball legal teams, providing consultative information to Ball customers. Support FSSC audits, analyze other relevant regulations that impact packaging, deposit return schemes and extended producer responsibility.
What are you responsible for?
- Maintains regulatory compliance documents including but not limited to: allergen letter, food safety certifications, food contact certifications, certification of compliance and letters of guarantee.
- Maintains site documents such as HACCP, Food Defense, Food Fraud Plans and Plant Self-Assessment Forms
- Satisfies customer requests for information for regulatory requirements.
- Serves as customer interface for requirement approval.
- Maintains supplier requirement library including but not limited to: certification documents, CoA’s, CoC’s
- Attends relevant industry meetings
- Serves as auditor for quality and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as focal point for regional regulatory requirements including currency of applicable standards and regulations, assessment and communication of changes and compliance implementation.
What are we looking for?
- Completed Bachelors Degree
- Advanced Level of English
- Experience in Quality or quality-related environment with regulatory and compliance management
- Regulatory Management: Knowledge of food contact regulations, compliance program development, execution, and auditing
Knowledge of:
- ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt or ASQ Quality Engineer or Lead Auditor certification preferred
- Engineering principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures, quality assurance principles, and the manufacturing process
