Primary Purpose of this Position:
Leads all SA Regional forecasting efforts across short- and long-term horizons, overseeing a team that integrates insights from sales, marketing, finance, and other functions. They serve as the key link between Commercial, Supply, and Finance teams, and drive demand planning within the SIOP process.
What will you be responsible for?
- Develop demand forecasts, at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons, including the near term executional demand control, the 24 month rolling operational forecast, the yearly AOP and the five year strategic plan.
- Lead a team responsible for reviewing historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, review statistical forecast models, integrate market data and evaluate forecast results to determine the monthly Consensus forecast to be used to drive Supply Planning, Operational Planning and the division SIOP process.
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated Sales and Marketing assumptions.
- Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
- Identify significant variances to prior forecasts for discussion during the monthly IBP demand review process.
- Use and maintain the Demand Planning software (as the primary forecasting system tools. Will serve as the systems expert on all projects.
- Develop and maintain required reporting, such as accuracy metrics and projections, to assist in the Consensus process.
- Generate demand planning scenarios during strategic planning process.
- Interface with Commercial and Customer Fulfillment Teams to ensure customer provided forecasts and input are incorporated into the Consensus plan.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, business or related field
- Solid experience supply chain demand planning
- Forecasting and analytical expertise
- Leadership and team management
- Strategic and scenario planning
- Utilization of advanced planning systems
- Minimum of Advanced level of English
Knowledge of:
- ERP and Supply Chain planning systems functionality and their benefits
- Industry trends to identify innovative solutions and drive best practices for the business
- Familiar with continuous improvement processes such as lean and Six Sigma
