Primary Purpose of this Position:  

Key in shaping regional footprint strategy, driving effective delivery of strategic initiatives. Unique responsibility at the intersection of capital and resource allocation, fostering strategic evolution for sustained Economic Value Added (EVA) growth. 

 

What will you be responsible for? 

  • Strategic Leadership:  
  • Leverage best-in-class strategy development processes to evolve and execute the regional supply chain strategy. 
  • Work in partnership with the Growth Organization to define "Where to Play," "How to Win," and core capabilities needed to achieve the enterprise and regional goals, including but not limited to how we minimize our carbon footprint and maximize the sustainability attributes of our products. 
  • Ensure Economic Value Added (EVA) growth through strategic initiatives. 
  • Works closely with the Supply Chain Execution team on the regional Strategic Planning cycle (2 years +), including managing footprint modelling (Ball and competitor) and optimization scenario planning 
  • Support the Corporate Development team with any relevant Supply Chain considerations when assessing potential M&A opportunities. 
  • Own the regional strategic investment project process: 
  • Responsible for managing the strategic investment process – initially working with the Growth team on the commercial proposition, then across the Operations and Supply Chain team (SCE, Manufacturing, BOE and Engineering) to bring the optimal network/investment solve. 
  • Oversee the preparation of strategic investment AFEs, working with the Growth/Commercial, Finance, O&SC and any other supporting teams to ensure the AFE represents a robust investment proposal.   
  • Responsible for managing key stakeholders through the process, including the Regional President, the regional functional leaders and the Global Operations & Supply Chain leaders.  Ensure all stakeholders are involved in developing the investment proposition and are aligned on the ultimate investment decisions. 
  • Directs the scope, timeline, budget, resources and goals for strategic investment projects for the region.  
  • Oversee delivery of a strategic supply chain initiative portfolio, emphasizing growth, transformation, capability development, and value creation.  
  • Performance Monitoring:  
  • Set the cadence for regular reviews of strategic plans, associated goals and major cost-out projects. 
  • Establish metrics for continuous performance measurement and evaluation of goals. 
  • Supports the driving of cross function projects and intervene when initiatives move off-track – works with cross functional stakeholders to ensure the initiatives are brought back to the original timeline/savings targets. 
  • Communication and Advocacy:  
  • In combination with the Growth Organization, lead the creation of Board submissions, QRBU’s, and Deep Dive materials. 
  • Act as a spokesperson, ensuring alignment of strategic initiatives with organizational objectives. 
  • Distills complex ideas and data into compelling strategic storylines. 
  • Provides thought leadership on end-to-end Supply Chain advancements across the industry. 
  • Change Leadership:  
  • Partner across key functional areas to deploy transformational change leadership practices. 
  • Lead initiatives fostering business innovation, supporting organizational transformation and growth. 

 

 

What are we looking for? 

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in  Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

  • Advanced Level of English (Minimum)
  • Minimum of experience in related experience within manufacturing, preferably in the packaging industry.   

  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders. 

  • Operational supply chain experience.  

  • Proven track record in strategic planning, portfolio management, and driving transformational change. 

  • Proven experience distilling complex ideas and data into compelling strategic storylines. 

  • Demonstrated success influencing cross-functionally, building consensus and developing constructive relationships with key internal stakeholders. 

  • Capacity to maintain professionalism and motivation while managing shifting requirements and tight timelines in high-visibility environment. 

  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams in a matrix environment. 

  • Knowledge of:  

  • Experience with M&A, joint ventures, and corporate development initiatives. 

  • Strong understanding of Economic Value Added (EVA) and capital allocation strategies. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, ideally along with knowledge of data visualization tools.
