Position overview:
The primary purpose of position Accounts Payable Supervisor is to supervise the accounts payable function as direct, overseeing the daily operations of the AP, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and managing vendor relationships. The Shared Services supervisor is integral to delivery of a service to business operations, driving global standardization and optimization of processes across Ball.
 
Key responsibilities include:

1. Oversee the end-to-end execution of various operational processes within the business process area, ensuring adherence to established procedures and timeline;
2. Supervises AP department and AP team members in the GBS center;
3. Provides guidance, coordination and training to team members on AP processes, ensuring effective performance;
   
4. Plans work assignments, sets goals, evaluates work performed, provides feedback and supports team members in solving issues on daily work;
5. Ensures efficient, accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices;
6. Reviews and approves weekly payment runs and online payments;
7. Manages month-end AP close processes to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely;
8. Coordinates forecasting activities with Treasury and Cash Controlling;
9. Responsible for SOX and non-SOX controls related to AP processes;
10. Responds to internal and external inquiries from different stakeholders;
    
    
11. Act as a point of escalation for complex process-related inquiries and issues, working to find effective solutions and resolutions;
12. Prepare and analyze regular AP KPI’s;
13. Continuously review and suggests/supports continuous improvement initiatives in AP processes.
14. Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork within the team;

 
Experience and skills required:

• University Level Degree in Economics, Business Adm., Accounting;
• +5 years of experience within Finance/ Invoice Processing/ Payment/ Accounting and relative activities;
• Knowledge in Finance/Accounting Reports;
• Experience with SAP/ JDE Transactions;
• Experience in Coupa/ Ariba
• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills (speaking and writing);
• Fluency in English language.
