To apply chemical engineering principles to ensure the optimal operation, efficiency, and compliance of critical process systems, with a central focus on environmental and chemical units. A key secondary responsibility is to guarantee the reliability of the plant's utility and infrastructure backbone.
Primary Role: Chemical Process & Environmental Systems
Lead and optimize the plant's key chemical and environmental systems, including Wastewater Treatment (WWT), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Washers and Oil treatment system. This involves troubleshooting issues, improving efficiency, reducing chemical usage, and managing projects to ensure compliance and lower costs.
Spearhead projects for the modification, improvement, and scaling of chemical handling and treatment systems.
Secondary Role: Utility & Infrastructure Stewardship
Ensure the reliability and functionality of essential plant utilities that support production, including power supply, RTOs, heating systems, compressors, and cooling towers.
Monitor and drive the efficient consumption of utilities and resources (e.g., gas, electricity, water) to minimize operational costs and environmental impact.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage the planned maintenance for all environmental and process utility systems, including: Wastewater Treatment (WWT) Plant, Water systems (Reverse Osmosis, Cooling Towers, Drainage, and Piping), Coolant Filtration and Waste Oil Systems.
- Organize the technical operation of these systems to guarantee an uninterrupted supply of power, steam, gas, water, and other energy sources, as well as continuous water discharge compliance.
- Plan and supervise the maintenance of a broad range of plant infrastructure, including energy systems (RTO, Heating Systems, Pin Ovens, Internal Bake Ovens, Compressors, Vacuum Pumps).
- Building and safety systems (Firefighting, Ventilation, Fume Aspiration, Lightning Protection).
- Facilities equipment (Forklifts, Bailer, Roads, and general building maintenance).
- Enforce strict safety compliance during all daily operations, maintenance activities, and repair work, as well by conducting assigned BBS audits and hazars observation
- Organize and supervise internal staff and external contractors
- Implement accident prevention measures and participate in safety procedure development.
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for responsible areas.
- Optimize the consumption of chemicals in WWT and washing processes and monitor resource consumption
- Adhere strictly to all company Hygiene rules, policies, and procedures, maintaining the required level of 5S and housekeeping in the area of responsibility.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical or production role within a manufacturing or chemical environment, preferably in packaging, food, or FMCG.
- Formal training in Safety and Environmental management systems (e.g., aspects of ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
- Comprehensive working knowledge of the design, specifications, and operational modes of power, utility, and chemical equipment (WWT, RTO, compressors, boilers).
- Management & Control: Skill in providing technical oversight of production, considering product or process modifications, and managing within set budgetary and operational parameters.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to negotiate with and manage subcontractors and internal teams to maintain facilities and achieve objectives.
- Upper-Intermediate (B2) English skills in both speaking and writing
