Base salary – starting salary is £44,000 per annum, increasing to £46,000 per annum upon completion of the first phase of the skills matrix and a further increase to £48,000 per annum upon full completion of the skills matrix

This role involves shift work – 12 hour shifts, working days, nights and weekends

 

Purpose of the job:

To run and maintain machinery and equipment in multiple back end processes, ensuring quality specifications are met while delivering budget KPI’s for the area.

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

•            Maintain safe working practices at all times.

•            Completion of quality checks, reacting to non conformances in a timely manner.

•            Completion of autonomous and preventative maintenance tasks.

•            Problem solving machine faults and quality deviations.

•            Communication up and down the line and to the team leader

•            Handover compilation and communication to counterpart using line log books

•            Drive self improvement and development through training matrix and following JBS’s

•            Housekeeping maintained to required standards

•            Utilisation of live data (real time indicators) to prevent quality deviations and line downtime

•            Material and machine part changeovers

•            React to line spoilage, identify losses and put in place improvements

•            Assist line engineer with breakdowns and conversions

•            Float between multiple back end processes providing cover and support where required

  • Mechanical qualifications           
  • Engineering qualifications (desirable)

 

Previous experience                    

  • Mechanics / engineering experience
  • FMCG / Manufacturing experience
