This role involves shift work - 12 hour shifts, days, nights and weekend work

Purpose of the job:

To maintain effective performance of the Inside Spray application within identified parameters of process machines, to maintain area, machines and records in addition to accountability for the asset condition and maintenance program.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety (complete all daily machine inspections)
  • Manage Inside Spray machines, Bulk systems and IBO’s
  • Asset Care – Crew leads for area maintenance and repair, machine cleaning and inspection
  • Liase with Process specialists and Engineering Dept
  • Crew lead for area support of projects and Engineering activity
  • PM compliance against GMS, completion of daily/weekly PM’s, support of monthly PM’s done on time
  • Product compliance inline with QMS
  • Line Efficiency – use of analysis software and manufacturing principles
  • Maintenance of production records – in effective and timely manner via available media
  • Machine setup and review, spares management inline with company process - booking parts
  • Problem solving and identifying faults – identification of root causes and effective countermeasures with remedial support, react to break downs
  • Support of Daily Management system
  • Support delivery of Business goals – i.e. area cost control
  • Work in a safe manor following the company guide lines – 5’s and Area Audits
  • Work within a team, building and sharing knowledge – supporting Training pillar when required
  • Prioritise work to maximise efficiency
  • Communicate with your Team Leader – via log books and Software, communicate good and effective hand overs
  • Lead and help other mechanics/Engineers when needed
  • Ensure all Quality checks and start up sheets are completed in a timely manner

  • Mechanical background
  • Fully qualified time served engineer
  • Worked in high speed production (FMCG) as a production engineer         
  • Canning work experience (desirable)
  • Coatings background (desirable)
  • Food safety training
  • Mechanical aptitude
