This role involves shift work – day, night and weekend work, 12 hour shifts.

Purpose of the job

The purpose of the line Engineer role is to meet production targets, by managing the production equipment, adhering to H&S requirements, meeting PM compliance, improving and securing line efficiency, fault finding and responsible for monthly and weekly maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

• Maintain safe working practices at all times, conduct H&S checks
• Completion of quality checks, reacting to non-conformances in a timely manner
• Completion of autonomous and preventative maintenance tasks (daily and weekly)
• Problem solving machine faults and quality deviations
• Communication up and down the line and to the team leader
• Handover compilation and communication to counterpart using line log books
• Drive self-improvement and development through training matrix and following SOPs
• Housekeeping maintained to required standards
• Utilisation of live data (real time indicators) to prevent quality deviations and line downtime
• Material and machine part changeovers
• React to line spoilage, identify losses and put in place improvements
• Lead amd help the Mechanics when needed
• Manage breakdowns and conversions
• Float between multiple processes providing cover and support where required

• Engineering qualification 
• Flexibility and team player 
• Time served in a similar environment (production, manufacturing, FMCG) 
• Able to understand and interpret data
• Engineering line work experience 
• Fabircation and welding skills 
• Good maths and english 
• Lean Manufacturing experience would be desirable
