Position overview:

The position will primarily lead the plant accounting, financial control, financial and statistical reporting, and inventory control, at Milton Keynes plant. The role will also provide support to the UK Finance team as required. The position will report into the Milton Keynes Plant Controller and provide support to the Assistant Plant Controller. Involved with stakeholders from various departments and provide support and information when requested.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Lead the preparation, analysis and distribution of monthly management accounts, including the creation and delivery of monthly finance thematic update to key plant stakeholders.

•    Oversee the quarterly balance sheet review in line with corporate deadlines, identifying solutions to resolve both aged and current balance discrepancies.

•    Report and control operational KPIs, in adherence to BOE best practise.

•    Drive the financial AOP and financial forecasts process from planning, stakeholder interactions and data input through to submission and full P&L analysis.

•    Own capital project financials from idea initiation through to capitalisation and Fixed Asset Register management, including validation of investment payback calculations in preparation of cost savings AFEs.

•    Adhoc support to Plant Controller as and when required, including financial analysis and data preparation to support the local management teams and stakeholders, Group requests, and project support.

•    Expectation to provide cover/support stakeholders for Plant controller when absent from site.

•    Support the Assistant Plant Controller with daily, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc deliverables.

What are we looking for? 

•    CIMA/ACCA (Or Equivalent) Newly qualified / Finalist

•    Strong academic record

•    3 years minimum finance experience

•    Manage and understand data across different IT infrastructures

•    Strong spreadsheet analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

•    Fluent in English
