This role involves shift work, 12 hour shifts within a shift pattern that incorporates day, night and weekend working.

Purpose of the job: Perform tasks and provides services to support the plant's overall business plans and objectives as directed, by way of can washing and chemical processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide can washing quality
- Keep chemical process under control
- Ensure can cleaning and coating by washer chemicals
- Ensure metal coating solutions are compatible with operation conditions and machinery can operate in optimum performance
- Must follow instructions and perform tasks. Also autonomous working
- Perform chemical control in the washer and in case of any deviation perform defect remover activities
- Provide compatibility of coolant water and cupper lubricant in front-end section
- Realize quality can production by performing chemical control
- Ensure can flow along the line by isolating mechanical defects
- Depending upon shift requirements combine jobs of forklift driver
- Perform chemical inspection tests and quality control in CPO site
- Isolate mechanical defects. Notify Shift Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor of unrepairable defects
- Work in coordination with Front-End Mechanics and Pal/Depal operators
- Investigate the reasons or the states for out of specifications
- Perform daily protective maintenance of washer, waste water and Schneider systems
- Record the results and keep in the Daily Protective Maintenance file
- Follow-up chemical material arrived near the machine
- Ensure general cleanness of machinery and equipment in surrounding areas
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Professional & Education Qualifications:
- Secondary technical education
- Previous experience - 2 years experience minimum in production
Skills and competencies:
- Knowledge of nomenclature of all assigned equipment, products, and plant quality standards
- Ability to learn nomenclature of all assigned equipment and products.
- Ability to learn to identify product defects.
- Ability to work under close supervision.
- Proficient with computers.
- Ability to read, write, calculate, and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Mechanical ability of working on pumps, conveyors, motors, shafts, bearings and other basic mechanical work.
Personal attributes:
- Ability to work with other people.
- Ability to effectively create and maintain a teamwork environment.
- Possesses an interest in and an aptitude for mechanics.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
