As the Plant Warehouse Supervisor, you will provide leadership and supervision to the plant warehouse personnel and maintain direct support to all departments in the plant via material handling.
The Warehouse Supervisor role will work primarily standard Monday-Friday dayshift, but will be on-call and expected to be flexible to support employees in our 24/7 work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain an employee relations climate of trust and confidence that will promote achievement of plant and company goals.
- Supervise training for direct reports ; including administering forklift training and orientation to Ball employees and contingent workers.
- Ensures good organization in the plant warehouse, external warehouses and related areas in order to maintain a safe and secure work environment, including that all warehouse equipment and forklifts are properly maintained. Correct unsafe conditions/acts, facilitate routine safety meetings, conduct routine safety inspections and investigate accidents.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of all warehouse hourly labor timekeeping, data entry, including overtime schedules, if applicable.
- Provide work direction to shipping coordinator and facilitate the transportation of inbound and outbound shipments of products and materials including finished product and scrap, including yard management.
- Communicate with suppliers, outside warehouses and freight carriers to respond to customer orders, requests for information, quality or delivery issues, operational audits and regular engagement meetings.
- Provide guidance on JDE system set-up or issues and storage of finished goods, including ownership of Transportation Management System.
- Review, complete, and ensure accuracy of warehouse related documents and shipments; maintain and reports on inventory accuracy, aging, HFI, status of finished goods, as well as packaging, dunnage, and raw materials of the plant and external warehouse.
- Provide backup for positions that may include production control, graphics and/or order fulfillment.
- Establish and maintain effective and positive work relationships with across the plant, the company and with our customers.
- Identify root cause and correct issues for incidents and accidents of operations in warehouse
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/Equivalency required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a people leader role (such as: team leader, supervisor, etc.) in a warehouse, industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal and written) in a clear, concise and tactful manner to all levels of personnel.
- Proficiency with standard office software (such as MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher education in supply chain, logistics, or management related disciplines.
- Experience using ERP software (such as JD Edwards, SAP, etc.).
- Experience driving a forklift.
- Inventory control experience
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor issues with warehouse equipment or forklifts.
- 5 or more years of people leadership experience, including team building, mentorship and development of employees.
- Experience creating presentations presenting to plant and company leadership.
- Experience creating and implementing process improvements (focused on inventory management, highly preferred).

Compensation & Benefits:
- Expected Hiring Salary Range: $75,400 - 105,290 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

- Onsite Work Environment: This position is based in Millersburg, OR and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
