Position overview:
Enhance global logstics operational efficiency by process mapping, streamlining, standardizing and gatekeeping in Standard Operating Procedures. Focus on continuous improvement with regards to safety, productivity and customer value creation. Maximize our human potential through facilitation of global logistics communities with a focus on KPI's, best practice sharing, learning practices and talent development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyse current logistics processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Standard Operating Procedures: centralize, standardize, sign off, maintain (gatekeeping), version management. Recommend system of Electronic Document Management.
- Utilize data analysis techniques to assess performance metrics such as cycle time, warehouse productivities, network complexities, and overall Cost To Serve.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including warehouse operations, transportation, planning, procurement, and quality to gather insights and develop improvement initiatives.
- Design and implement Lean (including lean office), Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize logistics operations.
- Develop and maintain performancea and safety dashboards and KPIs to monitor progress and track improvements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Provide training and coaching to logistics team members on continuous improvement principles and tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
- Collaborate with IT teams to leverage technology solutions such as automation, data analytics, and optimization software to improve logistics processes, with a specific knowledge of WMS, TMS and EDI standards
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Logistics or Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen to logistics processes
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics management, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to understand operational intricacies and identify areas for improvement.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, including planning, execution, and implementation of improvement initiatives within logistics operations; leading improvement projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring of milestones and outcomes.
- Experience analyzing logistics data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, convey improvement strategies, and facilitate change management within the logistics department
- Fluent English language
