Position overview:

 

The role will enhance operational efficiency by identifying optimization areas, devising improvement strategies, and implementing solutions to streamline processes, reduce costs, increase throughput, and ensure smooth goods flow across the supply chain. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Analyze current logistics processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement

  • Utilize data analysis techniques to assess performance metrics such as cycle time, inventory turnover, and transportation costs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including warehouse operations, transportation, and procurement to gather insights and develop improvement initiatives

  • Design and implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize logistics operations

  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards and KPIs to monitor progress and track improvements

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

  • Provide training and coaching to logistics team members on continuous improvement principles and tools

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management

  • Collaborate with IT teams to leverage technology solutions such as automation, data analytics, and optimization software to improve logistics processes

 

What are we looking for? 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management or Statistics or relevant working experience in applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen to logistics processes

  • Experience in logistics management, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to understand operational intricacies and identify areas for improvement

  • Experience in  project management, including planning, execution, and implementation of improvement initiatives within logistics operations; leading improvement projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring of milestones and outcomes

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies to identify inefficiencies and implement process enhancements

  • Experience analyzing  logistics data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve operational efficiency

  • Supply chain concepts, including demand planning, procurement, and supplier management, to ensure alignment with overall logistics strategy
