Position overview: 

 

The role of the Senior Commercial Manager UK is to commercially and strategically lead key of our major customers in this region, maximising all opportunities to drive profitable growth and ensuring efficiencies across all our touch points. The role will be delivering best in class customer meetings and building customer relationships with key personnel and functions as well as ensuring all our internal touchpoints are giving the highest level of customer service to major accounts, engaging with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver this. This position is an expert in the customers market and understand their environment and proactively work with them to drive collaborative and engaging relationships.

Senior Commercial Manager UK drives and leads customer implementation projects and manage meetings with all key decision makers internally and externally. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

•    Managing our accounts for the company and P&L delivery alongside the commercial director

•    Lead and support in the negotiating agreements for contracts with customers and ensuring effective KPI driving commerciality

•    Networking within these accounts in order to secure all business opportunities and devise account strategy with Commercial Director and Global teams

•    Ensuring internal company functions work to deliver highest customer service

•    Holding regular monthly / quarterly meetings with internal and external stakeholders

•    Autonomously investigating and resolving queries and issues raised by customers

•    Taking a proactive approach to customer management and be in proficient in the regions market trends

•    Work with commercial director to devise and implement the region’s sales strategy

•    Setting key performance indicators internally and externally

•    Embrace and lead the delivery of packaging sustainability in these customers

•    Keeping a close eye on the sales activities of competitors and utilising ideas where appropriate

 

What are we looking for?

 

•    Degree-level in Commercial or Business discipline / or relevant expert experience in this field

•    Previous strong experience in Sales or customer supply chain management (potentially in FMCG/Packaging/Retailing with a proven track record)

•    Expert knowledge in account management

•    Knowledge of sustainability practices

•    Proven experience in cross functional working

•    P&L Management

•    Strategic thinking, strong customer orientation and negotiation skills
