Position overview: 

The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing the plant quality assurance function as directed.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a safe and secure work environment which includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents as required
• Supporting development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of all relevant safety systems and directing and coordinating the activities of the quality assurance function as directed
• Establishing and maintaining quality assurance standard procedures, methods, facilities and equipment to meet customer requirements and a customer relationship program in plant matters relating to quality
• Directing and implementing quality trainings and development programs
• Establishing and analyzing quality areas, including quality goals, quality problems, defect materials, customer complaints on quality problem
• Working with material supplier on quality issues and cost reductions and performing leaker awareness training at the customer level
• Administers customer and vendor claim reimbursement systems
• Ensuring that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements
• Ensuring evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems and overseeing inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements.
• Managing the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products.
• Leading a team of Quality engineers, inspectors, auditors, analysts, and technicians

What are we looking for? 

• Degree in Technical Discipline
• Additional qualification in ISO, QMS, 6 Sigma is desirable 
• A manufacturing background in a high speed, high volume continuous process
• Understanding and experience of working to External Quality/Environmental Standards i.e. ISO 9001:2000 / 14001
• Good understanding of modern lean manufacture technique - SMED, Kaizen 5S, Kanban, Structured Problem Solving, TPM/OEE, SPC, 6 Sigma etc.
• Computer literate (Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint) 
• Fluent in English
