Position overview:
The role holder will be responsible for developing and managing the logistics operation in Austria and Switzerland with a focus on Red Bull. This includes the local operations as well as marshalling the support-in and out logistics from the wider network and the specific risk of two direct feed plants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with the Logistics Director and the central logistics management team on developing a regional strategy
- Minimise cost to serve by optimising stock movements in the region
- Controls stock movements between plants, external warehouses and customers to:
- Achieve required service levels to customer filling sites
- Ensure plant warehouses maintain enough storage capacity to keep production lines running
- Maintain Stock levels in external warehouses within capacity limits
- Work with production planning & customer fulfilment to generate a warehouse capacity planner by day to communicate required stock movements to 3PLs, CF and the plant.
- Provide visibility of inbound loads from support regions to external warehouses
- Ensure agreed customer service levels are met at lowest cost to serve
- Responsible for the customs team based in Widnau
- Develop business cases for strategic logistics cost reduction, e.g. new warehouse construction
- Be the main point of contact between 3PLs, customer fulfilment, production planning & CTS in the area at an operational day to day level
- Co-ordinate capacity planning for tock build in a timely manner for region (to cover warehousing, freight & packaging)
- Conduct regular performance management reviews with 3PLs for freight, warehousing & packaging
- Ensure Transporeon is actively used for relevant warehouses in the region
- Monitor 3PL costs and approve invoices
- Ensure plants have a functioning logistic system for vehicles prior to loading and unloading of cans/ends including following plants capacity levels
What are we looking for
- University Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-3 years in a Logistics / Supply Chain department
- Experience in data analytics
- Strong command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Experience of setting and managing KPI’s, SLA’s on a European scale, within a high volume environment
- Ability to create ad-hoc reports from several different data sources
- Experience in multi-site and matrix organisations
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
Work Environment: This role supports central functions and offers flexible work arrangements including hybrid or fully remote options, subject to role requirements and manager approval.
Hiring Range: 78,000 – 112,320 EUR gross per year. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks. Depending on these factors, the actual offer may fall above or below the posted range.
Incentive Plan: This position is eligible to participate in Ball’s annual incentive compensation program.
