Position overview:

The position focuses on coordinating production planning with an external filling site, ensuring alignment between internal production lines and external schedules. Production Planning & Control Specialist is responsible for the immediate horizon (0-7 days) production of cans at the plant level.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Performs his/her tasks timely and in accordance with the plan in such a way and at such a level as to ensure uninterrupted production and sale to the highest customer's satisfaction with the lowest costs to the company.
  • Creates and monitors production scheduling for one plant in EMEA region.
  • Plans consumption of special varnishes and inks used for production. Coordinates activities with the stakeholders. Liaises with foreign plants that cans are exported to.
  • Makes sure production of cans meets the delivery plans.
  • Analyzes the planning tool (LineLoad) on a monthly basis. Reports significant deviations from the plan to stakeholders. Coordinates performance with Production Managers and Quality Managers.
  • Maintains a required stock of finished goods to meet customer's long-term and short-term requirements with minimum possible costs. Adheres to the main KPI as DOS (Days of Sales). Reviews customer requests against stocks/ production plans, agrees with customers and schedules for production.
  • Supervises and coordinates, conjointly with Graphics Coordinators, adjustments to existing designs and launches of new ones.
  • Participates in S&OP meetings. Monitors deviations from LineLoadreports the demand and supply balance and coordinates operation of lines jointly with all stakeholders.

 

 

What are we looking for?

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through  secondary school or work-related experience.
  • Job related experience for 2 year(s) minimum.
  • Ability to apply independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard plant production techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Ability to operate and functionally use a computer.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • English and German fluency. 
  • SAP knowledge and experience in plant/production environments would be advantegous.

 

Work Environment: Flexible modern work environment​
Hiring Rate: From 51,400 EUR gross per month. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks.​
Bonus Plan: This position is eligible to participate in Ball’s annual incentive compensation program.​
