Position summary:
As a Senior Process Engineer (Back End) you will be a key member of the Process Engineering Group it terms of installations, audits, problem solving, best practice rollout, innovation, cost reductions, maintenance of decorators within EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) facilities, to train appropriate personnel in the operation and maintenance to a suitable level of competence within Beverage Cans EMEA as requested.
This position can be based in any European country.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support plants with all decorator and printing issues and troubleshooting.
- Support all projects as requested with technical decorator and printing expertise required.
- Ensure detailed trip reports are generated and sent to the Managers as requested
- Assist plants in raising requests for capital investment as requested.
- Liaise with appropriate equipment suppliers.
- Make available workable SOPs to aid with good process equipment working practices.
- Promotes the valuable skills available to all the plants.
- Follow up on recommended actions.
- Maintain good working relationships with the plants and suppliers.
- Develop and provide technical training for new and existing.
- Be available at short notice in case of emergency breakdown
Experience and skills required:
- Electrical or Mechanical qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience on Deco/Printer equipment in the manufacturing environment.
- Training/teaching experience is desirable.
- Basics of Lean experience would be preferable
- Willingness to frequently travel across the region
- Fluent in English
