Position overview:


This position will lead the implementation of the Manufacturing Execution System for the Aerosol Division (6 Aerosol cans and 3 slugs plants) in order to ensure effective execution of manufacturing operations and improve production efficiency.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Has a strong knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processes of Aerosol cans
  • Lead the Manufacturing Execution System project across the Aerosol division through the design, acceptance and implementation phases.
  • Work closely with Plant Managers and plant team to understand business requirements and manufacturing processes and data in each plant. 
  • Lead the plant team : Production, logistics, quality, engineering, maintenance to define the project specifications and translate the specifications in MES solutions.
  • Advise stakeholders and influence decisions at key milestones of the project 
  • Plan and manage resources and timing to ensure an effective the roll out and implementation of the MES on all the sites.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively on the project at plant and division level
  • Organize the adequate training of the team members to insure the proper use of the system
  • Measure the final and good use of the solution
  • Develop a solid understanding of the technical aspects of the Solution: Learn how the future solution will function, become a super user.
  • Test the future solution
  • Lead maintenance and support of the global MES across the locations
  • Share knowledge and expertise of the manufacturing processes with the project team 
  • Advise and influence the project team on decisions that will impact the Operations
  • Work closely with plant teams (Production, Quality, maintenance,..) and IT team to design the MES interface for all stakeholders (operators, management, reporting)
  • Define the specifications to interface MES with the new ERP
  • Provide technical expertise Support data conversion from the legacy/current system to SAP S/4 + MES
  • Actively collaborate with SMEs and project team members.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Engineering degree
  • At least 5 years in a Production function in the manufacturing industry 
  • Project management skills :  lead and manage a project at division level 
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at different level of the organisation
  • Excellent planning and priority setting capabilities
  • IT savvy
  • Manufacturing processes of Aerosol cans: transformation from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Business areas of MRP, Production, Quality, Inventory Management and Warehouse Management, as well as related shopfloor operations.
  • The handling of Finished Products, Raw Materials, Packaging, OEMs, Spare Parts and other manufacturing related materials.
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or MES would be a plus
  • English and preferrably divisional language
