Position overview:

The essential purpose of the function is to provide technical and engineering support, with a focus on chemical systems, process optimization, equipment performance and continuous improvement initiatives. The role supports plant operations through troubleshooting, process audits, capital project support and collaboration with internal stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, quality and overall process performance.

Please note that this role requires frequent travel across the EMEA region to support plant operations, projects and stakeholder collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting safe and efficient plant operations by maintaining a strong focus on health, safety and environmental standards.
• Providing technical support in the areas of chemical and lubricant performance, water and energy efficiency, filtration systems, washer maintenance and dry oven design.
• Supporting equipment specification, chemical system installations and performance investigations in collaboration with equipment vendors and engineering teams.
• Reviewing and evaluating material safety data sheets and technical material documentation.
• Providing technical guidance and support to plants, customers, suppliers and engineering teams related to materials, chemical processes and mechanical technologies.
• Participating in troubleshooting activities, failure investigations and implementation of corrective actions related to materials, processes and equipment performance.
• Supporting development and improvement projects, including project planning, budgeting, testing and implementation activities.
• Driving process improvement initiatives focused on increasing production efficiency, reducing costs and improving product quality.
• Maintaining awareness of technical developments and supporting the introduction and qualification of new materials, processes, products and equipment.
• Coordinating technical evaluations, acceptance testing and collaboration activities with customers, suppliers and external partners.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience within manufacturing, process engineering, chemical systems or industrial operations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage technical projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and production equipment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to travel on short notice
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
